There are two ways to add fields, depending on whether the farm is new or already has fields.
Option A – Adding Fields to a New Farm (no fields yet)
If your farm doesn’t have any fields yet, it will appear greyed out. You will see a “+ New field” button. Click this button to start adding your first field.
Option B – Adding Fields to a Farm That Already Has Fields
- Click on the farm name to open it
- In the top right corner, click the ⚙️ gear icon
- A side panel called “Edit and Manage” will open
- Click Fields
- You will now see:
- The list of fields on the left
- The farm map on the right
- Click the green “+ Add fields” button at the top
Choose How You Want to Add Your Field
When adding a field, you will be presented with three options:
| Option | Best for | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Import | Users with existing map files | Upload shapefiles or other map files |
| Draw or detect | Most users | Draw the field boundary manually or let the system detect it automatically |
| Insert size | Quick setup | Add only the field name and size (no map drawing) |
For first‑time users, “Draw or detect” is usually the easiest and most visual option.
Important Note
When selecting fields on the map:
➡️ Select and save each field one by one. Do not select multiple fields at the same time — the system will merge them into one field.
Quick Tips
- You can edit any farm or field at any time by using the ⚙️ gear icon.
- Use the search bar inside the Fields panel to quickly locate a specific field, especially when working with large farms.
- Fields can be viewed in both map view and table view — switch between them using the icons at the top of the map.
